User guide
Welcome - let's get started
Set up
The first step is to download the “Cover-me” app (Cover-me by Porsentech). Once this is done, create a user account and follow the instructions. Eventually, you will be asked to enable Bluetooth - if it is disabled, after which you will be shown a list of nearby Cover-me phone cases. IMPORTANT: Each Cover-me phone case can only be attached to one phone, please ensure that you connect to the correct device. To do so, look for the serial number on the Cover-me box. The last five digits of the serial number will be the name of your Cover-me case. Once your profile is set up and the phone case is connected, the rest of the app will be fully accessible.
Calibration
Before the Cover-me phone case can be utilized, a calibration process must be completed.
Remember to remove the blue tape covering the sensors, before performing the calibration.
During the calibration, we recommend the Cover-me phone case is placed on the wireless charger included in the box. To charge the case, a phone must be inside.
To begin the calibration, tap the profile button in the top right corner and select “Calibration”. This process will kickstart the sensors and requires a total of 24 hours to be completed. It is recommended that the calibration is performed across three repetitions, for example during the night.
Before starting, ensure your Cover-me case is above 95% charged. Once you receive confirmation that calibration has begun, close the app and wait up to 10 hours before reopening it. If you reopen the app too soon, the process will be interrupted, if so, simply restart the process. Your progress will not be lost but an extra repetition might be required.
Firmware update
As the product evolves, the Cover-me phone case will require periodic updates, usually included with app updates. We recommend checking 'Firmware updates' under the Tools section in the app. After the initial installation or any app update, the app will notify you if a firmware update is required.
Stabilisation
Stabilisation is separate from the calibration and will need to be done afterwards.
Before the Cover-me phone case can provide accurate measurements, it must sample the air around you. This process happens automatically and requires no action on your part, although it may take a while.
You can track the progress on the main screen in the app. Once stabilisation reaches 2/3 completion, the measurements will be somewhat accurate, but we recommend waiting until the process is fully complete for the most reliable data.
If your Cover-me phone case runs out of battery or you update your firmware, the stabilisation will reset, and you will need to start this process again.
